How to Crochet an Easter Bunny Garland

What you need:  

- Yarn: Make & Create super soft DK yarn

   - 20g sea moss acrylic yarn

   - 20g sunset yellow acrylic yarn

   - 20g milkshake acrylic yarn

   - 20g bubblegum acrylic yarn

   - 20g pure white acrylic yarn

- 3.5-4mm hook

- Scissors

- Yarn needle

Size: approx. 171cm

Glossary (UK crochet terms)

- SS: slip stitch

- MR: magic ring

- DC: double crochet

- HTR: half treble crochet

- TR: treble crochet

- DTR: double treble crochet

- INC: two or more stitches in the same stitch

- *: repeat from 

- ( ): anything in ( ) work as many times as stated

- STS: number of stitches

 

Tension

20 stitches x 10 rows (4 inch square) with the double crochet stitch

 

Bunny

Make 3 bunnies in each of these colours:

- Sea moss

- Sunset yellow

- Milkshake

- Bubblegum

Or pick four colours of your choice!

 

Start with a MR

Round 1: Ch1, 10htr into the ring, pull tight, ss (10 sts)

Round 2: Ch1, (htr inc) x 10, ss (20 sts)

Round 3: Ch1, (htr, htr, inc) x 10, ss (30 sts)

The next round is adding the bunny head and ears.

Round 4: 13ss, (ss, tr, dtr) in the same stitch, ch7, working in the second chain from the hook, dc, htr, tr, htr, dc, ss, this is your first ear complete, 2dtr, ch7, working in the second chain from the hook, dc, htr, tr, htr, dc, ss, this is your second ear complete, (dtr, tr, ss) in the same stitch, 13ss (46 sts)

Break the yarn and sew the ends in.

 

Bunny Tail

Make x12 bunny tails all in pure white.

Round 1: Ch1, 10htr into the ring, pull tight, ss (10 sts)

Break the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing onto your bunny. 

 

Assembly

Sew your bunny tail over rounds 2 and 3 of your bunny at the bottom.

Breat the yarn and sew the ends in.

 

Joining the Bunnies Together

In pure white, chain 35, *ss to top right bunny ear, chain 4, ss to top left bunny ear, chain 20; repeat from * until all bunnies are attached, chain 35.

Break the yarn and sew the ends in.
