Assembly -

Attaching the base to the body:

- Sew the base to the bottom of the ghost using the back loops of Round 19 of the ghost.
- Using the needle and the yarn tail from the base, start sewing around.
- When you have sewn halfway round, start to stuff the piece.
- Continue sewing and stuffing as you go.
- Once you’re all the way around, knot the yarn to secure and pull the yarn tail through the body to hide.
- Snip off the excess yarn.

Attaching the arms to the body:

- Place the arm in the desired position on the body.
- Using the needle and yarn tail from the arm, sew the arm to the body.
- When finished, knot to fasten and pull the yarn tail through the body to hide.
- Snip off the excess yarn.

To make the eyes:

- Using black yarn (B) and needle, thread the yarn through the back of the body to the position of the first eye.
- Hold the needle to the place the yarn has come through.
- Wrap the yarn around the needle 4 times.
- Insert the needle back through the head next to the entry point.
- Holding the wrap, slowly pull the yarn back through. A little knot should be formed.
- Pull the yarn through the head and snip off the excess yarn.
- Repeat this with the other eye.

Alternative method:

Thread the yarn through the back of the coaster to the position of the first eye and sew over the height of the crochet stitch 3-4 times, ting the yarn back through the coaster when finished.

To make the mouth:

- Using black yarn (B), pull yarn through the body to the start position for the mouth. Decide where you want the mouth to go to and pull the yarn back through.
- At the midpoint of the mouth, sew a small stitch over the black yarn a little lower than the start and finish points and pull gently. This should make a small smile.
- Take the yarn back through the body to secure.
- Snip off the excess yarn.
