How to Make An Autumn Wreath for Your Front Door

As the leaves turn golden and the air gets crisp, there’s no better way to embrace the autumn season than by crafting your own autumn wreath for your front door.
Whether you’re a seasoned DIY enthusiast or just looking for a fun project that will bring a touch of the pumpkin spice into your home, this guide will walk you through the steps to create a beautiful wreath that captures the essence of autumn.
So, gather your favourite seasonal materials and wreath making supplies and let’s get crafting!
 

You Will Need:

* Rattan Wreath

* Craft Leaves

* Acorn Bunch

* Pumpkin Pick

* Twine

* Hot Glue Gun

 

How to Make An Autumn Wreath: 

1. Start by deconstructing all three of the pumpkin autumn picks, you will end up with five different elements from each pick.

2. Start securing the items to your wreath base using a hot melt glue gun. Be careful when securing these as the glue is hot, a pair of scissors can be used to hold elements in place while the glue sets.

Top Top: When attaching the elements, ensure they're all travelling in the same direction, in our example, below, it's counter-clockwise.

3. When adding the acorns, add a spiral element from the deconstructed pumpking autumn pick (completed in step one), twist the wire stems around one another to secure, then thread through the wreath to secure in place.

4. Keep working around the wreath until it's approximately two thirds full.

5. Plait three lengths of twine to approximately 30cm in length, secure both ends together with a knot. Loop the plaited twine over the top of the wreath and thread the ends through to secure.

Your wreath is now ready to hang in pride of place on your front door!
