How to Make An Origami Fox:
1. Start with a square of paper; ours measured 9.5cm square, but yours can be any size you like (we’d recommend not going any larger than 15cm square). Fold in half diagonally. Unfold.
2. Fold it in half diagonally the other way.
3. Unfold, then fold one corner to the centre cross-section.
4. Fold this new edge over along the halfway crease created earlier to make a triangle.
5. Take one of the bottom points and fold it up to meet the centre-top point of the triangle.
6. Repeat with the other bottom point, you should now have a diamond shape. These folds will become the fox's ears.
7. Take the top section of one of the points folded in step 5 or 6 and fold it down and outwards at an angle from the centre.
8. Repeat with the other point, mirroring the previous fold.
9. Carefully lift one of the pockets created in steps 7 and 8, and fold one ear back and into the pocket so the point of the ear swings upwards.
10. Repeat with the other ear, making sure to crease firmly. The base of the bookmark is now complete!
11. Using a paint marker, add white stripes as pictured below.
12. Once dry, use a black paint marker to add the fox's eyes and nose.
13. Once the paint has completely dried, your bookmark is ready to use! Insert your desired book page into the corner pocket. Why not try using different colours and ear shapes to create all sorts of cute creatures!
