Those innocent little toilet paper tubes you’ve been saving (or forgetting to recycle) are about to become the stars of your Halloween decor - just follow our simple step-by-step guide for making cardboard tube monsters. Whether you’re lining up a load of Halloween crafts for kids or just want a fun afternoon activity, with just a few toilet rolls and some googly eyes, you can turn your house into a monster-infested lair that’ll have everyone screaming with delight.

How To Make Cardboard Tube Monsters

Cardboard Tube Monsters Craft

 

These spooky little monsters are so much fun and can be made in minutes! An ideal craft for any age, using some simple craft components or whatever you have in your stash, these cardboard tube monsters are easy to make with brilliant results.

 

Difficulty level: Easy

You will need:

 

Step 1: Roughly cut enough coloured paper to wrap the whole way around a toilet paper tube. Apply some glue and stick it on.

Step 2:  Decorate the tube however you and your kids would like the monster to look.

 

For the green monster:

  •  - Draw on the hair with a black felt tip. A zig-zag pattern works well for this.
  •  - Draw on the rest of the features.
  •  - Stick on some wiggly eyes to finish.

For the pink monster:

  •  - Glue on one large googly eye.
  •  - Draw on a mouth with a felt tip.
  •  - Add some pom poms along the top of the head for hair/fur.

For the yellow monster:

  •  - Stick on some foam-shaped spots.
  •  - Glue on some triangles to the top of the tube to act as horns.
  •  - Finish with a felt tip smile, some wiggly eyes and a pointy tooth!
